To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we re looking to hire Snowflake DBA – IT who is based out of in Coimbatore location. Flex Enterprise IT Systems Group is looking for hybrid cloud Database administrator in Data Platforms team for managing critical Databases in a global 24×7 environment with hands-on experience managing databases on public cloud and on-premises platforms. This position will support US and Mexico teams and be a fulltime night shift work environment. Reporting to Senior Manager & the role involves.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Key skills include Mysql,Flex, Shell Scripting
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), including cloud DB technologies (RDS, Aurora)
• Configure and manage cloud databases using best practices and a well-architected framework.
• Worked on Snowflake and PostgreSQL/MySQL server configuration for different types of workload environments
• Use automation and self-healing to manage Databases without depending on alarms and manual intervention.
• Investigate and evaluate new open-source software to solve problems.
• Experience in Performance tuning and Health Checkup of Snowflake and PostgreSQL/MySQL databases.
• Experience in setup hot standby & AD integration.
• Sound knowledge in Database Backup, Restore and Disaster Recovery procedures
• Experience in Snowflake and PostgreSQL/MySQL upgrade.
• Proficient in backup and recovery procedures
• Experience in point in time recovery.
• Drive end-to-end availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning for Snowflake and PostgreSQL/MySQL using different tools.
• Experience in complex queries writing, optimization, creating procedure and functions.
• The experience we re looking to add to our team:
• Any bachelor or master degree with 7-10yrs of experience in IT.
• 4+ years of as Snowflake and PostgreSQL/MySQL Database administrator
• Must have experience of managing high volume data in high available environment.
• Database Setup and Configuration: Configuring warehouses, databases, and other Snowflake objects and ensuring optimal configuration settings for performance and cost-efficiency
• Performance Monitoring and Tuning: Monitoring the performance of Snowflake and PostgreSQL/MySQL environments and executing performance tuning strategies to optimize query execution and resource utilization
• Data Security and Compliance: Implementing and managing security measures within Snowflake, including data encryption, access controls, and network policies to protect sensitive information
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Although Snowflake provides automatic backups and failover capabilities, the DBA is responsible for planning and managing disaster recovery strategies and data retention policies
• Cost Management: Monitoring and optimizing Snowflake credit usage to control costs without compromising performance
• Proposing cost-effective use of Snowflake features and resources
• User Management and Support: Managing user accounts, roles, and access privileges to ensure secure and appropriate access to the database
• Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and IT teams to support data-related activities o Documenting database schemas, configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Automation: Shell scripting/Ansible/Python
